McCormick-Stillman Railroad park in Scottsdale hosts a 'Holiday Lights' event that is just phenomenal. We visited this train park in the summer a couple of times and I'm so glad we checked it out during their winter wonderland event. They have characters in costume, miniature railroad sets, holiday displays, live music, and over 100,000 lights. It's a super good time for kids and super cheap for the parents - it's a win/win! Here are some pictures with the characters that were in attendance.

Checking himself out...

Although the line to ride the train was long, the line ran alongside the building with the minature train sets, so we were able to watch the miniature trains running. It was a first for Nathan to see these size trains and it only fueled the fire for his love of trains. Here he is looking in the window watching the trains.
