Blessings...

How often we want the rainbow without the rain or the healing without the pain but what if...

What if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

I hijacked this beautiful picture of my incredible husband at band practice.
I heart this picture - big time!

Easter Sunday

A slim selection of Easter pictures with even slimmer captions (insane work schedule right now).

Gary, Michael and Greg.

The Coffee Crew.

The Easter Egg Hunt.

Moving Newlyweds.

Perhaps our first Easter family pic.

Snowcones by Papa G.

Free iPhone marketing.

Kid fun.

Post candy, cupcake, snowcone delirium = more candy in hand, a blue mouth and a sticker stuck to my head that I don't even know about.

The Incredible HULLK!

Dr. Greg Hull: musician; athlete. Searching for a way to tap into the hidden skills that all humans have. Then an accidental overdose of cheapness radiation alters his body chemistry. And now when Greg Hull grows angry or outraged, a startling skill set emerges. The creature is driven by overpriced labor and pursued by a nagging wife.

....installing tile throughout the house continues....

The Trash Trucks

Just one of our recent POTD's.  The sound of the garbage trucks rolling down our street woke Nathan up because he bounded out of bed, dragging his blanket, straight into our bedroom to watch the trash trucks.  Though it's out of focus because of the backlight, I love the moment that it captures.

The end of Tball.

After 5 weeks, our first T-ball season has come to a close - the takeaways for each of us:
Greg:      Learned that 4 yr old kids really do have a painfully short attention span.
Julia:      Learned what items to bring to the field on game day - mainly a chair.
Nathan: Learned how to act around misbehaved kids whose parents sit idly by while their children terrorize other kids.
The team picture - cute.

Getting ready to bat.

 At bat.

Running to first base.

Throwing to first, already looks like a natural - just like dad!

Receiving his first trophy and that's a very genuine, very happy smile.

Nathan did not believe me when I said he was going to win a trophy.
This is my "Told-you-so" picture.  I'm very mature.

Soccer starts next week.  Hoping we have a good team - as in, I hope we have a group of kids who know how to act and behave.  What are the chances?

Life or Something Like It

Right now, I'm reading this book which has seared my conscious. I'm having a hard time blogging lately because I can't reconcile between the things that make up my daily life and the self reflection this book induces.

Yet, here I go because I know that this collection of pictures and stories is an important connection for those who love us...

We went to the local Roots and Boots Rodeo which had a petting zoo. Nathan likes Goats.  Nathan does not like chickens, bunnies, ducks, ponies or cows.  Just goats.

The price of gas these days is a bit high.

We also hung out at an empty farm park where we snuck on the train.

Spring Break came to an end, back to school,Nathan pictured here at the end of his class line.

Greg started installing tile in our house.  I'm happy about this.

Nathan and I one Sunday.

That's all she (me) wrote for now...
