Happy Easter!

I took Nathan to our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt today. I know he can't walk yet but it was a photo opportunity! He was unimpressed with the Easter Basket and not in the least curious about the Easter Eggs. His overly cautious ways are beginning to remind me of his father! Here are a few pictures :

New Hope Worship

Greg finished building a riser for the drums at church and set it up on the stage yesterday. It makes a big difference to the stage presence. This is a video of Greg on drums with the rest of the New Hope Worship band. Of course, when he watched this, he was critical of his playing and said it was to fast. I honestly didn't notice!

Pirates Cove at Founders Park

Our hometeam met at the park today so our families could get together and have lunch. The weather was nice but it was windy which made it a bit chilly but it was still a really nice time.

And it was quite a few 'Firsts' for Nathan.....
First time to swing-didn't like it.
First time in the sand-didn't care for it.
First time on the playground-didn't want to.
Even though he was gun shy with these new activities, he was still curious and seemed to just enjoy observing others.

Here's some pictures from the day.

The park is next to the softball parks behind Wylie High School and it's huge! I learned that Wylie High's Shop class had a huge part in fundraising and building this park. It's really a imaginative place for kids to play and a great place for taking pictures!

SNOW DAY

Saturday was a pretty nice day, about 71 degrees and partly sunny so I took Nathan to feed the ducks. Nathan doesn't quite understand the concept of 'throwing' the bread so he's eating the ducks bread in this picture.
So I woke up this morning and this is what saw...
SNOW! It was so unexpected and in an odd way, a pleasant surprise. It was fresh and clean and just pretty, so I had to snap a few pictures. While it was a pleasant surprise, this in no way is an indication that I now like the cold. I stand steadfast that warmer weather is better.
